writer, game designer, computer programmer, humorist (of dubious quality), musician (even more dubious), and questioner of everything
pronouns: any/all
@cincopedia Please consider crowdfunding season 3, especially given how much work you’ve already put into it. If you started a Kickstarter campaign, I would definitely pledge, and I’m confident that I’m not the only one.
@Unicorn_999@RealLyndaCarter You complained about having to “maintain other people’s egos” by learning their names and pronouns. I pointed out that you already have to learn their names, so having to also learning their pronouns isn’t that much harder. How the heck was that “hysteria”?
@RealLyndaCarter As the proud grandparent of a trans grandchild and a non-binary grandchild, thank you. They are very precious to me and I hope they grow up in a world shaped by people like you, rather than by those still steeped in hatred or ignorance.
@555Pilgrim @SuperNotFunnyS1 @USUHNAME@RealLyndaCarter@DidiFriendco I’m sorry, but the statement “does not exist in science” shows a lack of understanding of the biology behind how humans physically differentiate at both in the womb and during childhood, depending on genetic responses to specific hormones. M or F is a gross oversimplification.
@stkr5150 @JackFro03367504 @RealLyndaCarter You’re right. Too many pronouns to keep track of… and too many names too. From now on, everyone is he or she and their names are Bruce and Shelia. Two pronouns, two names. Nice and simple for you.
@greenpoet100@RealLyndaCarter So… basically, “Everyone deserves to be treated with respect and dignity, but I don’t want to be reminded that they exist”?
@DrNWLuna@RealLyndaCarter While understanding biology isn’t, in and of itself, harmful to others, using a partial/inaccurate view of biology to enforce gender roles is VERY harmful. Not only is biology not nearly as basic as M or F, but most aspects of gender roles have nothing to do with biology at all.
@Movavi Thanks! I used your chat feature and a very helpful Customer Service rep took care of my problems. You may want to have someone look into the Support Ticket submission page though, because it's still giving the "failed captcha" message and it's impossible to submit a ticket.
@Movavi I keep trying to submit a Support Ticket and it keeps saying "Captcha verification failed, try again!" I have verified that all of the fields have been correctly filled out and I'm checking the "Not a Robot" box, but it still won't let me submit a ticket.
Fellow Themester Bill Lowe sent me some music and I wrote lyrics for it, based on the 'fake' title "Straight Rollin' (Pennies in Compton). Bill then played and sang it, and this is the result: https://t.co/x4GzdPhnoZ
@TheEconomist In 2006, Republicans passed a bill that forces the USPS to create a $72 billion fund to pay for the cost of its pensions, 75 years into the future. As a result, they 'lose' money (on paper) every year, allowing Republicans to then claims like this about how much money it loses.
I hadn't intended on posting another one of these so soon, but in spite of how long the previous post was, there was some relevant stuff that didn't get addressed, so here's my follow-up... https://t.co/w7fdYPL1TG #QuestionEverything
In what may be the first instalment of what may be my ongoing series "Question Everything", I wade into the hornets nest of Cancel Culture, as it relates to how we respond to racist, homophobic, transphobic, or misogynistic things... https://t.co/0oCKr3QCAQ #QuestionEverything
Congratulations to Shared Words authors Joel Byers and @cScottDavis for having their work chosen for the Tell Tale Top Tales List! Selected were "Infernal Ratio" by Joel Byers and "Critical Mass" (novella) by C. Scott Davis (both from "Critical Mass and other stories").
