@The_Karen_B@roisinmurphy@ForwardsBristol Yes! You can be as sociable as you like (and you’ll have plenty to talk about with other fans), or you can fade into the crowd and watch. Sometimes, if you simply want to dance and lose yourself in the music, it’s better to go alone. Enjoy!
@ABCFRY@Summerfest Looking forward to celebrating one better world tonight in the land of House…Des Plaines, Illinois. 🙂 Close enough. Greetings from Chicago!
@JamieLidell Hell yeah, “Reckoner” especially. Funny, I became a belated RH fan around that time and used to run into the same person at your Chicago shows who was also a Radioheadhead - hi Melissa, if you’re out there! 👋
@ManchesterMusi4@neworder Out of a multitude of jewels, “True Faith” has to be the one. The song and leaf on the cover say to me that extraordinary moments can and will happen, life is worth living, keep the faith. (Also, dancing doesn’t hurt.) Thank you, New Order. Warmest wishes to you all.
@underworldlive Hi Karl, thoroughly enjoyed seeing the play and hearing your music in context! Curious how this might have informed your process with later projects (Olympics, Fatherland, live shows). Thanks for sharing your positivity via your work! Best wishes #NTFrankensteinST@underworldlive
@aldoyletweets Best introduction I could have had to you guys. Worthy colleagues of the mighty Order indeed. Love your spirit. Much respect from Chicago!
@aldoyletweets ...and then turning around afterward, exhausted and sweaty, to hear what I later learned was “How Do You Do?” coming from the opposite stage. I remember thinking, “This is what it must have felt like at the Hacienda in 1989.” So, I went over and danced myself silly again.
@Franz_Ferdinand Paul, as someone who once broke a thumb and forefinger (and thus uttered the loudest single curse word ever heard on campus), I feel for ya. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
P.S. As soon as your doctor says it’s okay, move that finger! Helps maintain flexibility.
Get well soon!
@alkapranos Since we’re all having a reasonable discussion (thank you), I should admit that poor eyesight was a poor excuse. Should have bought a red bag, not brown. I still maintain it’s better to stand in front than have to barrel through people.
This was fun. Wishing you safe travels!
@alkapranos Makes a lot of sense in theory. In reality, having poor eyesight (“yeeeaaah, that’s my bag” as it passes in front) and being a woman trying to get the attention of the six-foot dads blockading the way can be a challenge. But I wholeheartedly applaud your efforts toward civility!
@heaven17bef US dates, great news! Maybe a stop in between in Chicago? The Park West calendar looks open for Sept. 28, and the Metro on Sept. 27 & 28. ;)
