I don’t know what’s more outrageous!
•The City Council awarding one of the protesters $280,000 for losing a tooth, in the orchestrated assault on police at the Columbus statute that left 18 Police Officers injured.
•Supporters characterizing that the settlement as “reparations.”
•Alderwomen Jeanette Taylor claiming that the award “ain’t enough to fix what was broken that day………”
•WBEZ characterizing protesters assaulting police without riot gear, using bicycles as shields, as “some protesters threw frozen water bottles at officers.”
The vicious assault on CPD was fully recorded and spread on social media. From whom do police collect a settlement?
Gov. Pritzker thinks he is being funny.
He sees daily Trump bashing and ridicule as a pathway to the White House, believing voters will ignore Illinois’ dire condition. Unfortunately, the “State of State” under Pritzker’s “leadership” is no laughing matter.
Here’s what’s not funny:
•While Illinois’ neighboring states cut taxes, Pritzker frittered away $54B in COVID related aid and raised taxes $1 billion. The state is now estimating a five-year $23 billion in combined deficits.
•According to WalletHub, Illinois ranks eighth in state and local taxes in combined income and sales taxes. Worse, Illinois was third in business closures last year costing 14,723 jobless.
•Chief Executive magazine ranked Illinois as the third-worst state in the nation, behind only California and New York, in its “Best & Worst States For Business Survey.”
•Illinois’ job growth exists entirely in the public sector through government hiring and Illinois is one of the only areas couple states in the country to experience job loss in the private sector.
•Illinois is one of only three states to lose population since 2000, as 1.6M residents fled and is the 2nd-biggest loser of young households aged 26-35 with incomes greater than $200,000.
•Illinois has the largest state and local government debt in nation, averaging $110,000 per household and according to Wirepoints exceeding the combined debt of every neighbor state.
•Less than one-third of Illinois students are proficient in reading, despite state spending averaging $21,700 per student, $2,000-$8,000 more than other Midwest states. Chicago spends $30K.
Corruption, high taxes, rising crime, and failing schools, has residents leaving in record numbers. Pritzker and Mayor Johnson’s answer? Spend BILLIONS in sanctuary state/city subsidies to attract migrants. The state has over 530,000 illegal migrants.
None of this is amusing.
Last summer, cops found a gun in his car during a traffic stop.
A judge gave him probation in September.
It’s not going well.
Prosecutors say he shot a man to death last week.

#BREAKING: MASSIVE police presence outside the University of Chicago Medical Center amid reports of an officer shot in the Grand Crossing neighbourhood.
I’m told the officer is heading into surgery.

OMG. While the Hail Mary play was going on Chicago Bears DB Tyrique Stevenson was taunting the crowd and celebrating a victory. He then proceeded to have the ball bounce off his hand and into Noah Brown’s hands for the game winning TD. Talk about karma 🤯
Wanna be a cop?
Some monsters don’t want to submit to arrest.
Just released body worn camera footage:
Stockton CA police officers end stabbing rampage to save a females life.
We have also learned the old CVS building at 26th and Pulaski in the 22nd Ward will begin sheltering illegals on December 1.
Great location: The area around 26th and Pulaski is GROUND ZERO for the Two Six and Latin King gangs.
This is a slow-motion disaster in the making.
Perhaps the @ChiPubSchools Board President should focus on this noise: only 26% of students met state reading standards test, 17.5% of students met state math standards.
In other words, 74% of CPS students can’t read at grade level. 82.5% can’t do math at grade level.
Officer Andre Vasquez-Lasso exemplified honor and courage when he was fatally shot responding to a person with a gun call.
Last night, we honored his heroism as we escorted him to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
End of Watch: March 1, 2023.
We are hearing interim Superintendent Eric Carter has told ranking CPD officials David Brown is already gone.
It's said Mr. Brown is "taking time off."
Evidently, Brown needed a break from his three-year vacation in Chicago.
Good riddance.
