एक ऐसी घटना जिसने अमित शाह को भी चौंका दिया था।
आपने पश्चिम बंगाल में संदेशखाली नाम की जगह मीडिया में बहुत सुनी होगी। यहां टीएमसी के गुंडों ने महिलाओं के साथ बहुत जुल्म किया। इस इलाके में रहने वाली रेखा पात्रा ने इन गुंडों के खिलाफ लड़ाई में महिलाओं का नेतृत्व किया और ममता बनर्जी की नाम मे दम कर दिया। रेखा पात्रा को बीजेपी ने संदेशखाली से टिकट दे दिया।
अब शुरू होता है रियल फिल्मी सीन !! नायक अमित शाह, वो भी एकदम फिल्मों के सुपरस्टार हीरो के माफिक!!
अमित शाह रेखा पात्रा के लिए कैंपेन करने संदेशखाली पहुंचे। वह मंच की तरफ जा रहे थे, तो निशिकांत दुबे ने उन्हें रोका। अमित शाह से कहा थोड़ी देर रुक जाइए। निशिकांत ने बताया कि जिसके लिए आप कैंपेन करने आए हैं, वह कैंडिडेट गायब है। रेखा पात्रा का काफी देर से कोई अता-पता नहीं है। अमित शाह ने कहा पब्लिक सामने है, मैं तो भाषण दूंगा।
​उन्होंने निशिकांत से रेखा का मोबाइल नंबर मांगा और मंच पर पहुंच गए। थोड़ी देर बाद अमित शाह ने स्पीच रोकी और निशिकांत दुबे को बुलाया और कहा, "खबर आ गई है, वह 300-400 मीटर के दायरे में है, उसको लेकर आओ।"
निशिकांत दुबे हैरान, परेशान !!! कहाँ से लाये रेखा को और इनको कहा दिख रही है।

इसके बाद एक व्यक्ति ने रेखा पात्रा को निशिकांत दुबे के सामने खड़ा कर दिया। निशिकांत तो खुद संयोजक थे, इतने समय से सब करके देख लिया था पर रेखा कही नही मिली थी। फिर दिल्ली से आये अमित शाह को कैसे मिली और कहाँ मिली ?

अमित शाह ने न जाने कब रेखा का मोबाइल नंबर किसी को दे दिया था और मिनटों में रेखा पात्रा की लोकेशन पकड़ ली। निशिकांत थोड़ी देर बाद मंच पर रेखा पात्रा को लेकर आ गए ।

निशिकांत दुबे, अमित शाह की आंखों में देखते हुए मन ही मन हजारों सवाल पूछे जा रहे,और अमित शाह अलग ही मूड में मुस्कुराते हुए निशिकांत की चुटकी लेते हुए बोले :- "भाई, जिसे तुम लेकर आए हो, वाकई में रेखा पात्रा ही है ना? कन्फर्म है?" निशिकांत ने गारंटी दी, तब अमित शाह ने इंट्रोड्यूस कराया और यह सारी की सारी बात कैमरे पर है।

अमित शाह: "निशिकांत... ये रेखा पात्रा ही हैं ना?"
निशिकांत दुबे: "हां... रेखा पात्रा ही हैं... मैं गारंटी देता हूँ।"
अमित शाह: "पहचानते हो तुम?"
निशिकांत दुबे: "हां..."
निशिकांत उतना ही और हैरान परेशान !!!

तो असल मे हुआ क्या फिर

तो अब बताता हूँ आपको।
अमित शाह की पब्लिक मीटिंग से पहले, टीएमसी के गुंडों ने रेखा पात्रा को अपने कब्जे में ले लिया था। उन्हें पास के ही एक मकान में बंद करके रखा था। अमित शाह ने तुरंत सिक्योरिटी से रेखा के नंबर को गृह मंत्रालय में IB को भिजवाया और कहाँ कि मेरे भाषण से पहले रेखा यहाँ मंच पर होनी चाहिए।
गृह मंत्रालय और IB के अफसरों ने तुरंत इस एरिया के सभी मोबाइल नंबर और टावर्स से रेखा को लोकेट करवाया। मौके पर तुरंत अतिरिक्त केंद्रीय बल को भेजकर रेखा को छुड़वाया और फिर सिक्योरिटी के साथ वहां पहुंचाया, जहां निशिकांत दुबे चिंतित खड़े थे। इस पूरे ऑपरेशन की सेकंड की रिपोर्ट्स भी अमित शाह को दी गयी। ऑपरेशन का कुल समय था 15 मिनट। बस ये मत पूछना कि उन गुंडों का क्या हुआ ।

​इस पूरे मामले में अमित शाह एकदम कूल रहे। उनके चेहरे पर इस बात की चिंता कभी दिखाई नहीं दी कि कैंडिडेट गायब है। यह घटना प्रमाणित करती है कि देश कितने सुरक्षित हाथों में है।
