@TimBartholomaus I am aware of modeling difficulties (I've been at it for a bit) and with https://t.co/Hx2phEgDp1 as well. I think we agree that science communication is hard. My point is: nuances get lost in tweets, what you say matters, and statements that are easy to misinterpret can do harm.
@aJollyAdventure And if someone says "but C lets you get close to the metal," point them to this: https://t.co/o9tRHCXfDE (I think it's a worthwhile read, anyway).
@FabClimate Very nice! My experience is quite similar. (I'm glad I converted @PISM_model manual from LaTeX to Sphinx, we use GH Pages, I've been providing support since 2008, and I'm dealing with technical debt every day. And I wish this work was recognized as useful by funding agencies.)
Today we are extremely delighted to present you PISM 2.0! The full-packed release includes not only a feature-rich new model version, but also a neat new logo and a sparkling new website. ๐ Come and see yourself: https://t.co/XtfKVDpSjE #PISM#PISM_model#IceSheets#Glaciers
