About a week ago, I was privileged to be the main guest at @NIBSCollege -Thika Rd campus during their Journalism Talent Show.
I explained to the students how journalism has changed in the Digital era and how they should use their creativity to thrive.
This month marks the beginning of my 10th year as a journalist.
I’m glad that it started with an opportunity to be a panelist during this year’s celebration of the World Press Freedom Day organized by the @MediaCouncilK on May 3.

Key learnings from the first panel: The media needs to be vigilant,report accurately and speak out when oppressed. Some of the laws that touch on oppression of journalists need to be reviewed so as to promote press freedom. #WPFD23
Press Freedom is a precious privilege that no nation can afford to give up on. Mediamax's Digital Editorial Content Team Lead Chrisphine Magak is discussing the opportunities and challenges in media freedom and the democratization process even as World celebrates the World Press Freedom Day.
Yesterday, I was honoured to guide @ExperienceUSIU journalism students about Digital Media, and we all agreed that the future is digital.
The university was holding a Media Day event graced by media personalities and MCK.
