End the Carers Allowance cliff-edge! Many reporting the scandal that those caring 35+hrs/wk oft for vulnerable loved ones must repay £1,000s just for slipping a quid or two over the max earnings threshold (currently £151/wk).
Ending that clawback's important. Yet the cliff-edge should end too. Almost all other benefits work by taper - ie earn over the limit and the benefit doesn't immediately stop, it gradually reduces. With carers allowance, a penny over and you get nowt. This is simply stupid and should be stopped.
Carers are a backbone of the UK, saving the state & NHS billions. The £82/wk allowance is pitifully low, at the very least we should end the cliff-hanger so work pays.
In January 2011, just 17 people waiting longer than 12 hours on a trolley for an emergency hospital bed.
In January 2024, more than 50,000 people did.
Please RT so everyone can be aware of the damage the Conservatives have done to our NHS.
The government has written off £9.9bn of the £13.6bn it spent on PPE in the pandemic due to it being unusable or having lost its value.
That’s 73% utterly wasted.
Please RT if you think everyone should be aware.

Did you know there were nearly 6 million FEWER courses of dental treatment provided last year than there were in the year before the pandemic.

@SkyHelpTeam Thanks Jillian - I have tried that already. The offer is on the home tab but there is no link to claim from there. Nothing on the VIP link. I don’t have Sky Cinema - is that why I can’t claim the tickets?
I sometimes get told by MPs that their patients “don’t mind if private companies deliver their healthcare”.
If you do mind, and want the NHS to stay out of private hands, please RT this. Let’s send MPs a message 💙
