Grand Council Treaty #3 is heartbroken to hear of the passing of Chief Arnold Gardner of Migisi Sahgaigan and extend our deepest condolences to the Gardner family. As a former Ogichidaa, a favourite of the staff, and a personal lifelong friend of Ogichidaa Francis Kavanaugh, Chief Gardner was central to the governance of the Anishinaabe Nation in Treaty #3. His gentle smile, his calm but powerful words, and his everlasting dedication to our nationhood will be deeply missed by the entire staff of Grand Council Treaty #3. ♥️
Grand Council Treaty #3 invites you to our upcoming 150th Signing of the Treaty Anniversary events!
Mark your calendars 🗓️ More details about each event will be released closer to the dates.
💛💚❤️🤍
One of Treaty 3s health care leaders and her family suffered unimaginable loss. The healing will take so much time…as much time as is needed and the grief may always be there in some form. I will promise to sit with those grieving without encouraging any “chin up!” Vibes.
Whether you're in Red Lake, Marathon or anywhere in between, HNO needs the town of Kenora to feel the thoughts and prayers coming from all angles of the region. We encourage everyone to take a moment out of their day to consider family, teammates and those immediately affected.
