This is the first time in history that the statutory gap between the Non-Audit ITR Due Date and Tax Audit Due Date is just ONE MONTH still no action being taken yet.
Atleast our elected representatives should come forward and take this issue up. Right?

Dear @IncomeTaxIndia@FinMinIndia,
Kindly provide a reasonable timeline for Tax Audit.
Earlier, there was a 2-month gap between the Non-Audit ITR due date and the Tax Audit due date. After shifting the Non-Audit ITR due date, this gap has now been reduced to just 1 month.
September also has several festivals, holidays which naturally reduce the working capacity of businesses, accountants and CA firms during this period.
Completing Tax Audits within such a compressed timeline, while maintaining the required quality and compliance standards, becomes extremely difficult.
Hence, I request @IncomeTaxIndia and @FinMinIndia to permanently shift the Tax Audit due date to 31st October.
A reasonable statutory gap will allow professionals and taxpayers to complete audits properly, rather than simply rushing to meet a deadline.

Tax Audit due date should be PERMANENTLY extended to 31st October.
There is no revenue loss to the Government, as taxes are already paid through Advance Tax/Self-Assessment Tax.
It’s time to end the yearly cycle of extensions and provide a clear, practical deadline.

Tax Audit Date permanently fixed to 31 October, Audit ITRs Date fixed for 30 Nov and Companies Form filing Date should be 31 December. This is the demand of majority professionals for better and tension free work.

🚨 30 DAYS FOR TAX AUDIT? PRACTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE!
This year, CAs are being asked to complete Tax Audits within just 30 days.
Tax Audit is not merely uploading a report. It involves:
🔹 Verification of books
🔹 Reconciliation & ITC checks
🔹 TDS/GST scrutiny
🔹 Review of financial statements
🔹 Professional judgement & documentation
🔹 Final quality review
Rushed audits compromise quality and compliance.
📢 We request CBDT to extend the Tax Audit due date to 31st October 2026.
30 days for an audit ≠ sufficient time for a QUALITY audit.

No one demanded an extension of the 31 July or 31 August ITR due dates, as adequate time was available.
But expecting CAs to complete Tax Audits within just one month is practically unrealistic. A quality audit requires proper verification, review and reporting—not a rushed formality.
With the ITR filing deadlines approaching, the Government should extend the Tax Audit due date to 31 October.
Quality compliance needs adequate time.

This Sunday, let’s make the demand heard! 📢
Extend the due date of Tax Audit Reports to 31st October.
A 27–30 day window for completing 100+ audits is not practical and risks compromising audit quality.

Tax Audit Due Date: A Simple Comparison
Earlier:
Non-Audit ITR Due Date → 31 July
Tax Audit Due Date → 30 September
⏳ Gap → 2 Months
Now:
Non-Audit ITR Due Date → 31 August
Tax Audit Due Date → 30 September
⏳ Gap → Only 1 Month
With the Non-Audit ITR deadline shifted to 31 August, the Tax Audit deadline of 30 September has become increasingly impractical.
Demand: Tax Audit Due Date should be extended to 31 October, providing a reasonable and workable time gap for tax professionals and taxpayers

RT if you support the demand for Tax Audit Due Date extension. 🙏
60 tax audits under Clauses (a) and (b), along with several additional audits covered under other clauses, can easily bring the total to more than 100 audits For Each CA
The practical challenge is clear:
With the non-audit ITR deadline ending on 31.08, tax professionals have only 27 days in September to complete more than 100 tax audits before the 30.09 tax audit deadline.
This requires completing, on average, nearly four audits every day, including weekends and holidays.
Such a compressed timeline is neither practical nor conducive to quality compliance.
The tax audit deadline should therefore be permanently shifted to 31.10, with the ITR filing deadline for audited cases extended to 30.11.
Please intervene, @IncomeTaxIndia@nsitharaman@nsitharamanoffc, and consider an early extension or relaxation. 🙏🏻
