🚨🇬🇧🇦🇷 | ¿DÓNDE ESTÁ GREENPEACE?: Los usurpadores del Reino Unido avanzan con un proyecto para desarrollar salmonicultura a gran escala en las Islas Malvinas, territorio argentino ocupado ilegalmente por los británicos, con una producción proyectada de hasta 50.000 toneladas anuales y un negocio potencial de decenas de millones para la economía isleña.

Al mismo tiempo, la ONG británica Greenpeace impulsó durante años la prohibición de la cría industrial de salmones en Tierra del Fuego, sancionada finalmente en 2021, dejando a la Argentina afuera de una actividad que en Chile genera miles de millones de dólares anuales en exportaciones.

Mientras tanto, el Gobierno de Javier Milei avanzó en la liberalización del sector para impulsar nuevas inversiones acuícolas en Tierra del Fuego. Tras la modificación de la prohibición total que regía desde 2021, la provincia volvió a habilitar la salmonicultura en determinadas zonas, mientras Nación redujo cargas sobre la producción fueguina y avanzó con SENASA en un nuevo esquema sanitario y de trazabilidad para facilitar el crecimiento de la actividad.
