Pope Leo XIV has conferred an Apostolic Blessing on Tim Theodosia Nayah Njua, popularly known as Na Ju, a retired midwife from Cameroon's North West Region, in recognition of her lifelong service to the Church and humanity as she celebrated her 90th birthday.

The blessing, accompanied by an official papal certificate, marked a significant moment for the family of the nonagenarian and transformed the birthday celebration into a profound spiritual occasion. The recognition honors a lifetime defined by unwavering Christian faith, compassion, and decades of service to thousands of families.

Born in 1936 to Michael Tim and Juliana Chiambong, Tim Theodosia Nayah Njua began her healthcare career after training as a nurse aide in Shisong before qualifying as a certified midwife. Over several decades, she assisted in the delivery of more than 5,000 babies, becoming a respected maternal healthcare provider across Boyo Division and neighboring communities.

Affectionately known as "Mami," or "Na Ju" she earned a reputation not only for helping bring children into the world but also for providing comfort, guidance, and support to generations of families.

Her commitment to service continued beyond retirement. Residents say her home remains open each day to people in need, including the poor, the elderly, and individuals living with mental illness, whom she regularly feeds after attending daily Mass.

A devoted Catholic, Tim Theodosia Nayah Njua also served in several leadership positions within the Catholic Women's Association, including Branch President, Zonal President, and Divisional President. She has also mentored numerous Christians as a prayer leader, adviser, and godmother.

The Apostolic Blessing from Pope Leo XIV is one of the Holy Father's highest spiritual recognitions, often granted to Catholics marking significant milestones and noted for exemplary Christian witness.
