I don't have access to computers as much as I would like to --I share one cart with ELA & Math. When I do have the computers my life is easier because I can see who is really contributing to a class project w/out asking others. I use the SmartBoard a lot w/them.

I distribute a Doc through Schoology, where all kids can work on the Doc together, at the same time. Students can also work alone --I can see who opened the doc. and watch who is working on the project.

My students create their own graphic organizers into a HyperDoc that I have created for them. They design it, share with me to print out.

My students are engaged using technology with HyperDocs. They love the fun activities that they control --they are able to pick and choose and work at their own pace. Working together and combining ELA w/Social Studies.

My students use Blended Learning by combining classroom learning with online learning, in which they can, in part, control the time, pace, and place of their learning. Students are working at their own level in a comfortable atmosphere.
@marymurrian#chatcsd Q4 -We may have some innate inner drive; however I think most is learned. If your given things easily you won't appreciate it as much causing one to slack off. If someone does everything for you -why do it yourself. You have the givers and takers & the takers are lazy.
@marymurrian Pg. 70 We have the capacity for interest. Some things facilitate it & some don't. Put your focus on what you can change & not on what you have no control over. If you love what you do, you will never go to work.
@marymurrian pg. 70 it states that we have the capacity for interest - some things facilitate it & some things undermine it. People should put their focus on the things that they can change and not on things that they can't. Do what you love to do and you will never have to go to work.
@marymurrian Choice is great. I've found this year that the students are coming up to me too many times saying "Is this right Mrs. Berkey" --Heck yes, there's more than one way to do something. They are surprised by this, but they do walk away smiling. They are afraid to be wrong. #chatcsd
