@washingtonpost Remember when everyone was a sapiosexual? People just grab obscure words for normal things (or make up new clever terms for normal things) and it becomes a fake trend for a while.
@DEADLINE Two recent comedies with big stars became about fighting a drug dealer halfway through, which had nothing to do with the initial concept of the movie.
@DEADLINE Comedy films: need to play internationally—stop making meme/trend films about pickleball and yacht rock. Stop making every other “comedy” about crime and murder. Write good scripts—so many modern films have weak concepts that die halfway through and shift to a new concept.
@nytimesarts I see an endless number of female standups on TikTok and IG. Nikki Glaser, Erica Rhodes, Bonnie McFarlane, Christina P, Jessica Kirson, Taylor Tomlinson, Leanne Morgan, Jordan Jensen, Rachel Feinstein, and that’s barely scratching the surface.
@amass_jp After Randy, they “offered” the job to Robert Sarzo, Bernie Torme, Brad Gillis, George Lynch, and finally Jake E. Lee. Probably a few others I’ve forgotten about.
@amass_jp Apparently every known and semi-known guitarist was offered the Ozzy gig at one point or another. They don’t realize it was just Sharon putting out feelers and she would have used and abused them in the audition process, kicking most of them to the curb.
@cairoasmith He asked permission to get songwriting credit, not to simply record the song. Check the songwriting credits on Wikipedia and this bears out.
@retiremeplease Probably the guy who figured out how to build better shelters, figured out you can just chase an animal until it overheats, figured out how to make an arrowhead/spear, figured out how to ferment foods, etc.
@HwoodScrptReadr There’s two ways to extend a serialized show past season one. 1) Reset the status quo (Hacks, Silicon Valley) or 2) raise the stakes (Breaking Bad). This works to varying degrees, but all those shows went 5 seasons. Murders of the Season work too (Only Murders, Lincoln Lawyer).
@THR How do other actors shoot scenes with an AI actor? There’s a green suit actor that gets replaced? I assume no, as there would be no point in using AI for that.
@GuitarWorld The formula was always simple, always known, and always screamed at the company by players who wanted to buy their guitars: make high-quality guitars with classic specs.
@For_Film_Fans There are so many great lines in this scene, buy I really love "That's nitpicking, isn't it" after a super extensive takedown of the album.
@GuitarWorld I always question these stories. Any musician would notice if someone else played their parts.
Same with Fair Warning and Eddie re-recording stuff at night. Like no one would notice it sounded different the next day.
