@nikeferanda_ Okay, you got me with that comment. What do you mean specifically? Because the ice is clearly melting, you can see the water pooling in places and dripping. You also see steam.
@Oldtime101 That map is weird. It’s vaguely the louvre, but also not anything at all like the actual louvre. And the Mone lisa being one of the bigger paintings is pretty hilarious, because it’s tiny. But it is behind a railing sort of like that.
@darwintojesus Right, and often, a straw man might be an argument I actually agree with. Like, saying that faith without evidence is a bad thing. Yeah, atheist, I agree with you. And so does the Bible. So we can beat up on that straw man together, if that makes you feel better…
@Truth_matters20 As a rule of thumb, it’s not a bad guideline. But as a matter of truth, the biggest problem of that is the Bible itself that shows God saying lots of things but not recording those things. “There are many other things that Jesus did…”
(John 21:25) too many to write down.
@MadMikeIsenberg Originally, it was the Mormons that were telling Christians they weren’t Christians, only Mormons were. That wasn’t popular. So for the past few decades they’ve tried to say they’re just another denomination. But that’s never been true.
@Provokethoughtz It’s a strange argument. Ability to survive being frozen doesn’t feel ontological. And, let’s accept that for a moment. Then can we grant full human rights to an unborn human that can’t survive being frozen? It’s still inconsistent, but I’d be much happier with that…
@RazorFist@Panthercr02 Absolutely, God uses means. So what means do you think God will use for his children than are afflicted by same sex attraction (or other unwanted sexual desire)? I think prayer, discipleship, and community support are the most likely. Christopher Yuan talks about this too.
@darmyball@AmoasahPat84067@_Moolah_1 Hm, you missed the point though. It’s not as if all “gods” have equal evidence. Or are even the same category of being. The Greek/roman gods were all tiered, created beings. Basically an ancient MCU. But God is ontologically different. God is the highest possible being. Pure act.
@RobertC83522680@JoeRoganRecaps There’s plenty, including the earliest manuscripts including authorship in the margins. You sound like you don’t really want a good faith discussion though, but if you do, here’s a summary of evidence: https://t.co/VEs8WuVuI3 You can go from there and read Gathercole, et al.
@Simply_Tessy Haha, well, aside from appeal to authority in a different direction, it would then accept the argument. Seems to me the better response is “good question, let’s talk about it, in good faith!”
