I work with preschoolers. This means we oversimplify subjects like plants and birds. I have made two decisions based on this: 1) 🌽 should be considered a fruit or a 🫘 bc the kernels are the seeds. 2) 🦃 should be a kind of peacock bc of their tail feathers.

Something about parenting that people don’t talk about is the fact that early on, things are really freaking hard. You don’t sleep much, your whole life changes, and babies can be terrible. You aren't a monster for hating them sometimes. It does get easier.
