Mindy Kaling talked about Connor Storrie on the latest episode of La Culturistas with Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers.
“That one great actor. Connor Storrie. He was so funny on SNL with all the accents. He was so talented. But his greatest talent is the way that he could contort his body so that the cinematographer could catch his butt being always juicy.”

Haley Lu Richards (The White Lotus, Ponies) mentioned Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams in a recent interview for Deadline when talking about unexpected success.
“I’m thinking of the same actors we see all the time in these big roles, but what’s more exciting is when Heated Rivalry comes out. Hudson [Williams] and Connor [Storrie]. It’s like, who are these guys? But they’re the best. Sometimes you gotta bet on some unexpected person that hasn’t been proven.”

Michael K. Parandi, director of April X, spoke with Variety about how surprised he was by Connor Storrie’s talent during the casting process and what Connor's newfound fame could mean for the film.
The director compared working with Connor to Ridley Scott’s experience with Harrison Ford on Blade Runner (1982). According to Parandi, “Connor was the most solid performance I’ve ever had. He is the best thing about the movie.”
“I could see [Connor] had been preparing himself for a long time, psychologically even. When someone is a natural, they don’t have to work heavily to deliver something believable. […] Production-wise, it was spotless. He was very easy, smooth, ready on time, always with the performance ready.
[…] Connor could not break down, and I could not allow him to cry. I had to find a balance where he remains vulnerable in a believable way, while also having these crazy science fiction plots going around him. There are also layers of anger, insecurity, and rage. Moving from one aspect to the other seamlessly is not something everyone can do without a lot of work.”

"April X" director Michel K. Parandi on casting Connor Storrie before "Heated Rivalry":
“I remember telling everybody early on that he was going to be a movie star. It’s funny, there is a book where Ridley Scott talks about Harrison Ford in the first ‘Blade Runner.’ After the movie, someone called him and asked, ‘What was it like working with Harrison?’ And he said, ‘He’s a movie star.’ I sort of envisioned myself in that. There was something special there.”

British GQ has published an article previewing what’s ahead in the second season of Heated Rivalry, which is set to begin filming in August and premiere in April 2027.
“If Heated Rivalry seduces you with the promise of sex and softboi jocks, The Long Game delivers a bait-and-switch: a sequel loaded with more pathos and maturity. […] Ilya’s mental health also takes a downturn, prompting him to see a Russian-speaking therapist. (If you loved Storrie chewing up monologues in another language, there’s more where that came from, and it will undoubtedly be devastating.)”
