Reminder:

The "craziness" that folks complain about with college football is caused by the very folks complaining deciding to keep all the sport's money for themselves and give none to the players.

If they want control, and not 40% roster turnover yearly through the transfer portal, the way to achieve that is via employment contracts -- via the school or the conference. Not by outsourcing pseudo-payroll to collectives. If you're under contract, you can't transfer out.

It is not ruining the sport, by the way. Interest has never been greater, and it is creating parity and hope like never before.

When will this happen? When the folks keeping all the money to themselves decide that sharing some is worth ending the "craziness," or, failing that, in a few years when the courts make the decision for them.
