Today, four youth activists appeared before Buganda Road Court for their bail hearing.

Although the bail application was heard, the case was adjourned to October 12, 2026, when the State is expected to respond and the court will deliver its decision on the bail application.

The activists were arrested on August 31, 2026, while marching to Parliament to protest fossil fuel projects, including the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP

KARAMOJA IS BLEEDING. AND THE WORLD IS SILENT.
This child in the picture should be in school. Instead, he is walking miles under a 40°C sun looking for water.

In Karamoja, climate change is not a future threat. It is happening NOW.
The rains no longer come when expected.
Crops are failing season after season.
Animals are dying.
Children are going to bed hungry.
Mothers are walking 10km for dirty water.
Families have lost everything.

They did the LEAST to cause climate change, but they are suffering the MOST.
We at Climate Activists Defenders Uganda were on the ground. We saw it with our own eyes. We cannot unsee it.
We cannot do this alone.
We are calling upon anyone with a heart for humanity:
Donate food, clean water, clothes, seeds, school materials
Support with funds to restore land and plant drought-resistant trees
Volunteer your skills, your voice, your platform

Exactly. Forests are climate infrastructure. In Uganda we see it daily - EACOP deforestation is destroying carbon sinks, water sources & livelihoods.
