@TheStalwart You only need to get a Visa on Arrival. No need to re-enter through Macau. See https://t.co/Yy52t1UxP8. You also need Alipay or WeChat pay. It is easy. Get a taxi to Lo Wu or ferry to Shekou which is quieter.
@vanalich@tomgrundy You've utterly missed the point. It is 2023 and the system still relies on hand written pieces of paper. There is perhaps a better way to do this using something call an automated bank transfer but HK payments remain stuck in the medieval era.
@tripperhead They’ve entrenched a complete attachment to mask wearing among kids, along with the daily tests most had for so long. So many will struggle to readjust. Looking around today, 95% of government school pupils were still wearing, even outside.
@tripperhead Thank you for the commitment to telling people what is happening, as well as helping everyone stay somewhat sane through the last three years of bat shit craziness here.
@DrDOwens Your logic and sense on this topic is extraordinary. It is a heart breaking shame that it hasn't been listened to over the last three years+. Reading the thread, it is impossible not to feel saddened by the repeated missed opportunities to improve the pandemic response in HK.
@ZichenWanghere The question is surely why. The authorities will watching 25 million people go through an incredibly difficult lockdown. But they won't use carrots and sticks to get people vaccinated, particularly the elderly. Perplexing.
