New reporting from the @globeandmail makes the failures of governance and curation surrounding the Canadian Museum for Human Rights’ controversial Nakba exhibit even more clear.

Internal records reveal that trustees themselves raised concerns about the exhibit months before it opened — including its accuracy, lack of public consultation, and the decision to link events of the 1940s directly to the current Israel-Hamas war.

They proposed delaying or restructuring the exhibit and establishing stronger quality controls. Those concerns were rejected by museum leadership at the @CMHR_News.

Federal Heritage Minister Marc Miller has confirmed serious concerns, saying elements of the exhibit demonstrate an “error of curation” and the Board of Trustees’ failure to review the exhibit is an “error in governance.”

Tamara Sargent is a City Council candidate running in the Owen Sound upcoming municipal election on October 26th 2026.

Tamara Sargent writes “Oct 7th was very much like Sept 11. Fuck Israel and Fuck America”, where she mocks both the largest terrorist attack on US soil killing 2,977 Americans and 1,195 Israelis killed in the largest mass murder of Jews since the Holocaust with an additional 250 taken hostage.

Tamara Sargent wants to see this terrorism spread across the world as she states, “globalize the intifada and dismantle the Zionist entity”, which would result in the death of nearly 10 million Israelis.

Tamara Sargent denies both rape & murderous atrocities took place during the October 7th terrorist attacks, downplaying the designated terrorist group Hamas as simply “resistance fighters” and Hezbollah as “defense” from Israel.

Despite growing antisemitism in her province & country, Tamara Sargent believes it is just “the false weaponization of antisemitism” and references synagogue shootings on Jewish institutions as “a false flag attack” done by Jews themselves.

In Toronto there was an unprecedented display we haven't seen in these protests yet in North America. GTA4Palestine, a new group led by Naved Bahadur, Nabil Jalbout, and Ahmad Arrar, decided to pause the march to put Hamas spokesperson Abu Obaida on the loudspeaker and give a 5 minute recorded speech to the audience, who ends it off with saying "it is Jihadi, victory, or martyrdom" and they respond "Allahu Akhbar" emphatically.

This was roughly 20 KM away from the all girls Jewish Elementary School Bais Chaya Mushka that was shot at by 2 masked gunmen in the middle of the night just 12 hours prior.

Although Hamas is a designated terrorist group, it didn't seem to be good enough for @TorontoPolice
to stop this speech from being played. This is equivalent to playing a speech from Hitler 1939 in downtown Toronto by the Nazi party, glorifying his fight against the tyrant Jews of Europe and what progress he was making.

In this video we clearly see Naved Awan Bahadur, who promoted and encouraged armed resistance yesterday to his accounts, alongside Ahmad Jarrar and Montreal Resident Mahmoud Khalil. Last time I checked it's illegal to promote or display designated Terrorist propaganda, so @TorontoPolice @jackgurrr where are the charges???

There is something deeply meaningful about this kind of allyship.

The Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal publicly called on City Council to reject the August 24 motion, warning against importing an international conflict into our municipal institutions and making Jewish Montrealers bear responsibility for the actions of a foreign government.

Today, the National Congress of Italian Canadians and the Canadian-Italian Community Foundation joined them and endorsed that statement unanimously.

Greek and Italian Montrealers standing beside their Jewish neighbours, not by demanding agreement on the Middle East, but by defending something much more fundamental: our right to belong here, equally and without being collectively held responsible for a conflict thousands of kilometres away.

This is what solidarity between communities looks like.
