So I need to go to hospital for some tests due to “long Covid” symptoms (my lungs are fucked still). However to go to hospital I need a covid test first. I try to apply for one and am told they’ve not got any left at the moment. 🤦🏼♀️
I also have been my authentic self for 12 years now. The vast majority of my adult life. Don’t you dare tell me I don’t have the right to the word woman.
I’m 36 and a trans woman. I’m also a research scientist currently working in material science. I also lecture. The rest of my time is split between volunteer work and gaming.

I worry that trans people in the UK are increasingly being forced to spend our energy reacting to things and defending ourselves rather than creating things and advocating ourselves. It feels like a losing game given our opponents only ever use it to press their attack.
TERFs don't really believe that being trans is "a new form of conversion therapy", they claim that because they want us prevented from transitioning, and it is a useful lie.
