Black women, 1 thing I learned very quickly. Be okay with leaving spaces immediately that devalue you, gaslight you, or try to make you clean up someone else's mess! It's 8 billion people in the world and millions of businesses. Somebody somewhere will value you as you deserve!
@foot2azz247@BlkHistStudies So no other Black people should be references or seen during US Black history month? A truly diabolical take on the celebration of a good track.
@oowoohyun I guess it might be useful in a single person household. The faff of drying or de-wrinkling a laundry load would annoy me back in my single days, and even more now with children.
@maggievans22 At what stage of the property viewing do you interject with, "So, I'd just like to view your car now to check whether you meet the rental shortlist"?
@RefilweSeboko My only negatives were the maternity practitioners refusing to acknowledge me telling them I was birthing and therefore administering pain relief late, like as the head was being birthed, both times.
@RefilweSeboko P.S. those of us that have straightforward pregnancies & births in general are almost shamed into keeping quiet about it because of the difficult time others have. People tend to come back with snarky, "Lucky you" comments, so I tend not to bother sharing my positive experience.
@RefilweSeboko Had my second child at 38. Standard pregnancy, quick birth (done within 3hrs of arriving at the hospital).
I swore by controlling my sugar intake, taking fruit smoothies to satisfy my sweet tooth, and not following the 'eat for two' nonsense.
@implausibleblog His stuttering tells me that he is aware of his lies. Why is the British media giving him airtime on this (or any other) topic anyway?
