Assalamu alaikum
Guys, the last 2 beneficiaries for our fundraisers passed before we could get them the financial help they needed.
I'm really hoping this one takes off fast.
I'm raising money for an elderly man in need of money for drugs and his next hospital appointment
There are moments during this journey when I feel exhausted, scared and helpless, but then I look at Lauretta and remember why we can’t give up.
Her next chemotherapy session is this week, and we still need your support to keep her treatment going.
Please help us get her through this. Nothing is too small. 🤲🏾
In the last four months, 10 million naira only has been raised, thanks to the people who have been kind enough to donate and those who share the flier, you all made it happen but it is time we intensified effort. Less than a third of the target has been met. 😢
The pain she endures with the passing of each day cannot be quantified. We are afraid that if the target is not reached as soon as possible, the much, yet little that has been gotten might go into paying for temporary treatment such as dialysis and needed medication. It is a setback we wish to avoid because her life hangs in the balance. 😢
This time around, every penny counts more than ever. You might think it is small but it takes us closer to the goal. To you, it is just N100 but my faith is unshaken, I know that there are 350,000 people who would not hesitate to give that and even more, 8,000 of them already follow me and I do not doubt how further how reach would be if everyone that sees this donates a token and reposts.

Kindly help us save Tiara. Also, retweet and share this.
God bless you.
Stupid bigot, must everything be an agenda tool for you?
As you can see in the screenshot there is an ongoing RCC road construction coming that way hence why the demolishing of the existing drainage shoulder is required to make way for the new RCC shoulder on the road, locals are encouraged to demolish the existing structure and extract the iron as an incentive because it reduces the workload on the construction company responsibile for RCC construction, such method is used for demolishing old concrete road dividers across all major express ways that are undergoing new RCC construction and expansion.
It won't kill you to make a little research next time before you start spewing baseless accusations.
After making the complaint public yesterday, having personally witnessed the egregious violation of the rights of two young Nigerians including Bayero University Kano (BUK) student Maryam Isah Shehu, the @officialEFCC has now terminated the charges against them.
Unfortunately, the Federal High Court judge who sat yesterday and remanded them in Kuje and Suleja prisons respectively has not sat all day today, so their release is still being delayed.
We are glad that wisdom finally prevailed at the @officialEFCC
We must also thank Deji Adeyanju, @adeyanjudeji who, despite being on vacation in Paris, weighed in heavily; human rights attorneys @Abbahikima and Hamza N Dantani; and all the lawyers on the ground, particularly Chimela, Esq who have not rested all day, working tirelessly on the necessary paperwork to secure their freedom.
I was also informed that the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (@NANSNIG was at the Federal High Court today to lend its support and help secure Maryam’s freedom. Their solidarity is greatly appreciated.
We sincerely hope that Justice Joyce Abdulmalik will still show up and sit, even briefly, today so that Maryam can regain her freedom and commence her final examinations tomorrow.
If that does not happen in time, we urge the authorities of Bayero University Kano @BUK_Nigeria to take special notice of the extraordinary circumstances surrounding her detention and ensure that she is given the opportunity to rewrite any examinations she misses as a direct consequence of her detention.
An injustice against one is an injustice against all.
No one shall be left behind!
By the EFCC Act, EFCC is statutorily empowered to investigate and prosecute financial crimes. Emphasis on “Financial Crimes”. But the way the commission is moving recently is deeply concerning. From the charge against Maryam, EFCC alleged that she published that its officials assaulted someone on the instruction of a Zonal Director who allegedly collected 20m, and that the publication was intended to tarnish EFCC’s reputation. EFCC is now prosecuting defamation case. This is laughable.
If the alleged defamation is essentially against the Director, why is EFCC prosecuting it for him? If an individual officer’s reputation was defamed, shouldn’t that officer pursue his own remedy? EFCC has detained Maryam for about 35 days over this allegation before arraignment. This is clear case of abuse of power.
We also need to talk about EFCC publishing photographs of people it arrests or arraigns. I see this as public parading of suspect and this is unconstitutional pursuant S. 36(5) CFRN 1999. An allegation is not a conviction. What happens when someone is eventually discharged and acquitted? Who removes their pictures from EFCC’s page? Who cleans up the thousands of reposts? And what happens to the reputational damage already done?
EFCC is too important as an institution for us to be afraid of asking these questions. I would rather see the Commission remain a highly respected anti-financial-crime agency than gradually become a regular law anything goes enforcement agency . If the commission is not careful, it may lose public confidence.
Thank you.
