He had already climbed Mount Olympus 50 times. The 51st time, he carried someone.
Marios Giannakou, a Greek ultra-marathon runner who had raced 168 miles across the Dubai desert, won a 93-mile race in Antarctica, and run 155 miles through the Costa Rica jungle, met 22-year-old biology student Eleftheria Tosiou through a mutual friend. She was born with a condition that left her unable to walk. Her lifelong dream was to see the top of Greece's highest peak.

When she told him she wanted to climb Mount Olympus "someday," he said: "Not someday. Now."

Within days, he studied the weather, assembled an 8-member support team that included police officers and deep-sea diving specialists, and had a backpack specially engineered to carry a human being safely up a mountain.

On October 5, 2020, Eleftheria was secured into that backpack. Marios put it on his back and started climbing. The ascent took 10 hours and 2 minutes. A man had died on that same mountain the day before.
They reached the summit at 9:02 AM, held up the Greek flag, and wept.

Marios later said: "For me, all the international races, the medals, and the distinctions so far mean little compared to this."

The Greek Prime Minister called to congratulate them while they were still on the mountain.

Eleftheria's next dream? Skydiving. She did that too.

Some people collect medals. Others collect moments that remind the rest of us what we're capable of.

El nadador británico Rob Howens se encontraba en el agua junto a su pequeña hija frente a la Isla Norte de Nueva Zelanda cuando, de manera inesperada, un grupo de delfines comenzó a rodearlos.
De acuerdo con testigos y socorristas, los delfines formaron un círculo muy cerrado a su alrededor y, una y otra vez, los fueron guiando hacia la orilla. Poco después, se detectó la presencia de un tiburón blanco de aproximadamente tres metros de longitud.
Durante unos 30 a 40 minutos, los delfines mantuvieron la formación, utilizando fuertes golpes de cola y movimientos coordinados para mantener al tiburón a distancia. Solo se alejaron cuando el depredador desapareció, permitiendo que padre e hija regresaran sanos y salvos.
Este episodio es considerado uno de los ejemplos más sorprendentes de la inteligencia social de los delfines y de su extraordinaria capacidad para actuar de forma coordinada en la protección de los seres humanos.

Let me get this straight.

Trump, the only president since Nixon not to release his tax returns, and who promised he would release his tax returns when he was president, is suing the government for $10 billion dollars in "damages" for leaked tax returns which reveal his corruption.

And his DOJ, which is run by his personal lawyer who he appointed as "Acting AG," is going to settle.

So the American people are now gong to personally pay a corrupt president $10 billion of our hard earned tax dollars, because his feelings got hurt when his shady tax returns were leaked?

Trump Tower rises from the center of downtown Chicago on a major north/south street called Wabash Avenue. A petition is circulating to have the city formally rename a four-block strip of Wabash after a certain famous Chicago resident.

If enacted, it would make Trump Tower’s official address 401 N. Barack Hussein Obama Avenue. I’d love that for him.🖕😁🖕
