Iβve actually read the works of many different religions and beliefs (Buddhism, Hinduism, Sufism, Islam, etc), and Iβve concluded that Christianity is the one for me. Itβs not a decision I made lightly.
@Truthi9w@MyUnveiledTruth The logical fallacies present in this guy's disgusting comments for actually intelligent people to see: ad hominem, tu quoque, an appeal to age, fallacy of origins, fallacy of composition/over-extension, straw man.
Disregard these comments, they are incredibly illogical.
@MyUnveiledTruth@suyasharose You're my spirit twin π I did the same. His writings are incredible and everyone should read them to know the truth of the evils of these belief systems.
@Victoryvox@ranzblade45@ex_Brahmin Not even just mythology, but incoherent, illogical mythology. Roman and Greek mythos follow morals more admirable if I could exaggerate a little.
@Tanyaelisabeth I was the same way! First baby I held was my own son at 25. My friends were flabbergasted/inspired by how many places we took him. Baby went to house parties, breweries, work events, many, many different countries, weddings! :D
@wehllijanta@bettybloodclot Psalms 135:15-18 NABRE
The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths but do not speak; they have eyes but do not see; They have ears but do not hear [...] Their makers will become like them, and anyone who trusts in them.
@blueyz25holly@vbspurs I have found that my older millennial friends use crazy amounts of screen time and are defensive about it, and the younger side definitely are more judicious with the use of it and more willing to talk about the negative effects. Total anecdote.
The girls on X are sharing their wedding dresses huh? π here's mine! Light pink prom dress, husband wore pink to match, maybe 300 bucks and was on sale. It is still my favorite dress!
@ButlersRanger@martinsjoh29221 Yeah I can't stand some of these replies. We are in the exact same boat, I can only offer solidarity. Husband and I together made good financial decisions and work our tails off, as I am sure do you guys. Our day will come.
@CryptoStorm3@dalepartridge "Hinduism is the soul of India," and look where it has brought you. Nothing but chaos and misery for the 99.9% of poor souls living there, a silly degrading caste system. Read "Riddles of Hinduism" by Ambedkar to see how nonsensical it is and how Hinduism doesn't even exist.
@T_Serveaux999@nonregemesse While I agree, some cultures seem to try and hide these aspects because they KNOW it is displeasing and unfair. They wait until someone is trapped in a marriage to show their true colors. That being said, common sense on the wife's part... some cultures suck to marry into.
@TheophanesRex@kpthinks95@sarkonakj I am totally fine excluding non-citizens from many of our benefits while still taxing them, and I vote for that too. Canadians first.
@Homeschool_LLC You really would want to deport the folks in Vancouver, the Island, and Edmonton (and Calgary too, for good luck) before you absorb us though. π€
@PistachioNadia@AmandaC_Young@noknowsgoes This is the problem with these discussions. Simply stating facts causing folks to get defensive and act like we are attacking them.
