Is it me or all artists are having a rough time? Like ALL of them. I've seen some of the greatests artists out there posting about emergency commissions and up to %50 on disscounts.

@piipstachio I was lucky to have a painter in my family and have artistically minded women who worked with me but if I didn’t pick up the tool and do the work I wouldn’t have any ability. Like any skill set.

@prntgdcolonized Having time to invest in your kid(s) is a luxury today. All the SAHM’s I know are giving up on their needs left and right to make sure their kids get this enrichment. The working parents are tearing themselves apart to make enough to pay someone to do what they can’t.

@cryling_art I’ve been trying to figure out how to join projects myself. Especially with my measly portfolio ( didn’t get into digital till 2020). I’ve got projects friends are doing I’m working on but it’s stuff planned two and three years out.

@cryling_art I think finding a project to be a part of would be a huge help in breaking into the industry. Or getting into cons- but you need enough ready to get into doing that. My art friends who are making it are either making their own projects, joining others, and/or going to events.
