For years I thought I had to choose between fantasy, sci-fi, historical, modern cities.

Turns out, the genre matters much less than knowing the fundamentals. Once you understand them, you can draw whatever world you want!

@KarlJunes You can start with absolutely anything, even with just a pen and a sketchbook! Of you want to learn deeper, I recommend to start with Mateu-Mestre books for perspective/composition and James Gurney books for color and light!

@HouseCrisis Thank you! For maps I use only my tablet and Photoshop. For settlements, I use a bit of 3D for quick composition and layout first. No AI at any stage.
