Obsessed with Europeans learning about the meadowlands. Yes they built a stadium in the middle of nowhere, actually they built a stadium, an arena, a racetrack, and more recently a giant mall with several theme parks & indoor skiing.

No it is in no way walkable. Even from one of these places to another. It is all barren swamp land filled with industrial waste and probably a lot of buried bodies. There is ample train and bus service for usual events. FIFA fucked you with the $$$$$ parking.
