Pamoja for Transformation Trust held a civic and peace advocacy meeting on good governance and accountability in Bungoma. The forum aimed at developing understanding on nonviolent ways of demanding accountability. Key stakeholders included youths, CSOs, local administrators, EACC, and the County Government Directorate of Public Administration. The participants developed actions to respond to key governance and accountability gaps through non-violent actions.

Pamoja for Transformation Trust conducted two days capacity building workshop on Community Security for Peace and Security actors from Lindi Ward, Kibera Sub-County.
The actors deliberated on their specific and collective roles in contributing to a peaceful and secure community in line with community policing guidelines. The actors developed strategies to strengthen coordination and synergy in responding to rising crime cases, access to government services, addressing general insecurity, and fostering cohesion between community members. #p4timpact #peaceandgovernance

Today, the County Government of Kisumu, led by Deputy Governor Hon. Mathew Owill, recognizes the support and collaboration of Pamoja for Transformation among other partners Femnet Secretariat, @KUAP, and @SOS for their invaluable support in developing the TVET policy.
Also, the county has committed to set aside funds for the full implementation of this policy. This is a significant step towards empowering our young people with the skills they need to succeed.

With the support from GIZ-CPS, we supported Peace champions in Kapkateny ward, Mt. Elgon sub-county, Bungoma county, to hold a service delivery consultative forum with a focus on water service provision, which has caused conflict between the community and duty bearers (NZOWASCO).

Together with Roads PS Joseph Mbugua, I held a meeting with leaders from Bungoma County at Transcom House in Nairobi this morning.

We discussed the Ministry's plan to unlock the innumerable potential in the Counties through the modernisation and expansion of infrastructure and facilitation of seamless transportation of goods and people.

In doing so, we will promote agriculture, tourism, trade and investment, and put money in the pockets of farmers and Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises in line with the Government's Bottom Up Transformation Agenda.

We are fully committed to working with leaders in the Counties, local and international contractors, and development partners in the implementation of this transformative agenda.
