This week, CAFTA was proud to have participated in the first meeting of the Advisory Committee on Canada-U.S. Economic Relations, chaired by Minister @DLeBlancNB.

Today, I chaired the first meeting of the new Advisory Committee on Canada-U.S. Economic Relations.
We discussed Canada’s priorities in upcoming the joint review of the CUSMA, and the importance of maintaining a strong, stable, and mutually beneficial economic partnership between Canada and the United States.
Bringing together diverse expertise, the committee will ensure Canada engages with the United States in a unified way – because Canada is strongest when we work together.
Canada is one of the world's largest food exporters, and the success of our agri-food and seafood sectors depends heavily on our ability to export to other markets.
Yesterday, my colleagues @Joanne_NL, @CornwallHeath and @TimLouisKitCon and I met with leaders from Canada’s agri-food and seafood sectors to discuss current challenges and the upcoming joint review of the CUSMA. Our priority is to ensure continued stability and predictability for Canadian agri-food and seafood workers and businesses.
