Caroline Lucas states that "there are many different versions of Zionism" which is a classic Zionist propaganda line.
Let's be clear: Zionism describes the establishment in Palestine of a Jewish supremacist settler state where the indigenous Palestinians have to be a permanent minority with less rights. The displaced and subjugated indigenous population are then subjected to constant incarceration, torture, massacres (now genocide) - all so any Jewish person around the world can have a second country and "return" to a land they have no connection to (outside of millenarian religious logic).
It's not complicated. It's a disgrace that the Green Party have not pushed back against Zionist pressure group "Jewish Greens" slandering and smearing the anti-Zionist motion, which was authored by Palestinian Green members. Also a disgrace that Green Party allowed Zionists to sabotage the vote at Spring Conference, which would have passed easily.
My advice to Lucas and others: stop trying to hold back the tide. The anti-Zionism motion will pass when it is finally allowed to be voted on. This is the bare minimum for any party that claims to be anti-racist. The party is over. Zionism is racism.
Why did our ruling class not invest in decarbonising faster to avoid this acceleration in deadly heatwaves that scientists warned would come? Because of the capitalist law of value.
Capital invests in what is most profitable to capital, rather than what is most necessary for humanity, so our ruling class keeps ploughing investment into fossil fuels and SUVs, while we get far too little in renewables and public transit, even while the world burns around us.
We have more than enough capacity (labour, factories, technology) to address the climate crisis, but as long as capital controls investment and production we are prevented from doing it.
We are trapped by the capitalist law of value, living in a miserable shadow of the world we could have.
Keir Starmer could have ended child poverty, homelessness and the grotesque levels of inequality in this country.
Instead, he abandoned those in need, destroyed our civil liberties and facilitated genocide in Gaza.
That is how this Prime Minister will be remembered - and that is the legacy of moral and political bankruptcy he leaves behind.
The crises in our society are not going away. Neither are we - and we will keep fighting for a more equal, peaceful and dignified society for all.
Jeremy Johnson - in 50 years time this will be the only 1.39 minutes of your life you'll be remembered for. It'll be played in genocide museums to sum up the complicity and callous brutality of the British state in the face of the slaughter of the Palestinian people - and the courage of those who opposed it.
Can you imagine how explosively the right would shit themselves if a group of Muslims were driving around London impersonating police officers and intimidating non-Muslims under the justification of countering Islamophobia? The shrieking about "Sharia law" would shatter glass.
You're telling me that they don't care for Marx in the department that exists to train people to be cheerleaders for capitalism?
No way. I don't believe it
🇷🇺 ⚽ It was not permitted to bring a Russian flag into the stadium for the Champions League final, so the wife of PSG’s Russian goalkeeper, Safonov, made her own out of plastic bags
I talked to a woman in Gaza this week and I was the first Jew she ever talked to who wasn’t an Israeli solider.
So when I asked who made the hole in her ceiling and she said “you did”. I got that she wasn’t being antisemitic.
still not quite over the fact that i watched 15 year olds get sued for millions of dollars for downloading twelve songs and now we all have to accept AI slop because every tech company in the known universe decided that IP laws don't exist now that they're inconvenient for them

must be so blissful being a lib, no ideological framework for why things happen, no coherent understanding of history or economics, just individual issues that you interpret solely based on vibes
The Russian revolution is so inspiring because it’s like 7 months of the most annoying liberals on here being in charge and everything going to shit then the coolest guy in history owns them and sets up a system that puts the first man in space
