@filmstofilms_ One of the best movies I've ever watched. We watched it at school during one of our English lessons and I loved it from start to finish! โค๏ธ
@MANbari_beats Thanks for reaching out! ๐
Really appreciate the offer. I'm currently focused on other areas of development and not looking for music at the moment, but wishing you all the best with your projects. Good luck!
@clemmygames It's got that VHS-era coolness ๐ I actually tried something similar early on, but it didn't quite fit my game. Readability took a hit and it became a little tiring on the eyes over time. Looks great for their game though!
A lot of the early visuals were really just there to help me prototype and test ideas quickly :)
I actually knew from the first week that I didn't want to go for a realistic look. The challenge wasn't deciding to stylize it, it was finding a simpler visual direction that still felt powerful and satisfying to play.
As the game evolved, I realized readability was by far the most important thing for the kind of combat I wanted to create. The neon direction gave me much more control over visual hierarchy, contrast, and player readability while still letting the game feel intense.
It also ended up fitting the game's identity much better than the earlier look.
@NAP_benkimchi Huge congrats on the investment! So glad to see this project getting the support it deserves. Can't wait to finally play it. Love the vision you guys have! ๐๐ฟ๐ฏ
@clemmygames Creative freedom. And the feel of the games that implement it well. No AAA studio would create something like Vampire Survivors, Dead Cells, Hades. The soul of those games are uniquely blended.
