@gregallenRTE Few years ago I was on our club hcap committee and we cut a player who was well known for plenty “bad” rounds, but “good” ones when he wanted to. He took the case to Golf Ireland and they backed him, reducing our cut in half. Committee, and other club players, were disgusted

@gregallenRTE I’m Comp sec in my local golf club in Cork. We ran stats last year on previous 2 years prize winners off blue tee comps and surprisingly Cat1 (0-9 hcaps) were dominant - maybe not for 1st prize but for the most qty of prizes over the 2 years and we typically go 1st to 7th/8th..

@gregallenRTE I think in 2 years time the only one that’ll be out in the cold will be Norman. LIV as a “tour” will fade or die, all the big guns will re-integrate back into PGA, where prize funds will be LIV-esque, and most of the squabbles will dissipate cos they’ll all be rich beyond belief
