Nintendo Junkie; Netflix Addict; Jane Austen Fanboy: Not necessarily in that order! He/Him, but Singular They/Them has been English since the 14th century!
This is Furukawa. At today's Corporate Management Policy Briefing, we announced that Nintendo Switch software will also be playable on the successor to Nintendo Switch. Nintendo Switch Online will be available on the successor to Nintendo Switch as well. Further information about the successor to Nintendo Switch, including its compatibility with Nintendo Switch, will be announced at a later date.
Some of the comments have compelled me to add an addendum. This thread was to add context - it's not a defence of it. Also not necesarily criticism. I think many companies here, despite this, treat employees much better.
And of course some companies like SEGA will buck the trend.
Things are changing though, as companies realise the benefit of having named creatives that can contribute to your brand image. But don’t expect a big shift in attitudes to happen anytime soon.
You might as well wait for pebbles to grow into boulders lush with moss.
Regarding the lack of composer credits in this app.
As someone who’s a full-time employee of a Japanese company I might be able to shed some light on this.
Though I work as a designer I imagine it’s the same in other creative roles.
Not being credited is the norm here… 🧵

This time 3 years ago I was rigging the CG asset of Claptrap for the Borderlands movie. I worked on him for 5 consecutive months. Neither I, nor the artist who modelled him (Who I worked with the entire time), got a credit for the film

The craziest graphical trick Rare ever pulled was baking a normal map into the bed of this truck. Look at the BC logo. the texture is swapped based on direction to fake per-pixel lighting. They're getting a 2006 era effect in 1997.
Proud dad moment!
My son just rolled credits on #SuperMarioRPG earlier tonight at just under 18 hours. He played the game on his own for about 99.2% (he let me help him for 0.8% 😂).
He absolutely loved it!
