@CoreyClayton@GA264748@MLS@PROreferees Cont. if the US were playing against Spain in next years World Cup, would you be comfortable if the ref grew up in Spain? Or if his wife was born, raised and supports Spain?
@CoreyClayton@GA264748@MLS@PROreferees I see your argument, but if his family supports LAFC that’s just a simple conflict of interest so he shouldn’t be officiate any games where the outcome affects LAFC, same reason why international matches typically prohibit refs with matching nationalities of either team.

@UnofficialShane@JanAageFjortoft@MarkusFjortoft A more accurate title is “dibs”, each MLS team has dibs on 5 intl. players, if another team wants to sign a player that someone else has dibs on they have to “buy” the dibs. In this case, Vancouver is buying the signing “dibs” from Cincinnati
@dude_mma@tombogert@JacobsBen No, the league will step in to make sure the deal falls through. The current record for discovery transfer is 300k I believe so I don't see anything over 600k, realistically

@seyerpa@CanucksHouse Muller has one of the best football visions and IQ in all of football, it's why he was so successful. Not known for his pace and scoring, but he will most definitely make an impact as arguably one of Germany's greatest players in the last 15 years.
