@SeSchneider yes, the easiest solution is to launch it without the OpenGL backend and check if it freezes (option -c or -A):
$ cairo-dock -c

@SeSchneider The dock shouldn't freeze your computer but it's maybe due to your video driver. It's maybe better to not use OpenGL backend ;)
