Today’s card. Philosopher Brian Massumi has said that “emergence & perishing are not opposites, they are pulses or phases in a process.” A thing emerges, it “expands its potential” and then it perishes. So maybe the best conditions for emergence require space for perishing, too.
Today's card. A hierophant was a revealer of sacred things, & begs the question: To whom & what do you look to be shown what is sacred? Imagination? Friends & family? Plants & animals? Social media? Television? And furthermore, how do you know when you have seen something sacred?

Today's card. We hurry so much that we miss each other. We hurry through disclosures & vulnerabilities & crucial truths that are exchanged between us. How do we slow down & what muscles need strengthening in order to say, "wow, that was a really big thing you said" & to sit w it?
Today's card. Sometimes when there's an urge to control what someone else in your life is doing, that energy can be better spent asking yourself, "what do I need to do to take care of myself right now?" We feel most competent when we tend to what's inside our sphere of influence.
