I had the best time talking with voters in New Hampshire about reproductive freedom, lowering costs, and all that's at stake in this election. And let me tell you, they were fired up to elect @KamalaHarris this fall.
Today we were supposed to return to work after the conclusion of our 3-day Unfair Labor Practice strike. We were looking forward to getting back to our jobs and to supporting NEA members.
Had to share this. Doug and his new rescue sister Dory are quite literally always touching…and today we saw this, their TAILS CURLED AROUND EACHOTHER
BRB crying puddles 😭😭😭😭
Today marks 70 years since the Supreme Court handed down its landmark decision in Brown v. Board of Education, outlawing racial segregation in America’s schools.
Let’s honor the memory of the civil rights leaders, families, and children who took extraordinary risks in order to make our schools – and ultimately our country – more fair and more free. And at a time when our public schools are growing more segregated, let’s remember that our work isn’t done until every child can get an education worthy of their promise.
Thank you Congressman @jamie_raskin for being with us today in the Granite State at the @nhdems state convention. Your good humor, great policy work, and inspiring words are a breath of fresh air! #NHPolitics
Joe Lieberman and I didn’t always see eye-to-eye, but he had an extraordinary career in public service, including four decades spent fighting for the people of Connecticut. He also worked hard to repeal “Don’t Ask Don’t Tell” and helped us pass the Affordable Care Act. In both cases the politics were difficult, but he stuck to his principles because he knew it was the right thing to do. Michelle and I extend our deepest condolences to Hadassah and the Lieberman family.
the level of personal + family sacrifice expected of young parent legislative leaders like @BeckyWhitleyNH is astonishing. (thank you x a million)
we need to reform how the State House works to make it more accessible + feasible to serve for young working age people. #NHPolitics

"By devoting $40 million to its campaign to organize non-union auto plants, the UAW is challenging not just corporate America but also labor’s status quo."

After 10 hours at the State House, I’m closing up the bar before going back to Concord for 8:30am tomorrow. Long days like this can be hard but it’s what we sign up for as working reps - and it’s so worth it, especially when we get to stop bills like HB1377. #NHPolitics
"We've got to face the fact that some people say you fight fire best with fire, but we say you put fire out best with water. We say you don't fight racism with racism. We're gonna fight racism with #solidarity."
