@atrupar@AntiToxicPeople Imagine if you will, an evil person with the insatiable appetite to destroy his own country, plastering his own image on the wreckage.
This is real life, not the twilight zone.

Murray: The Supreme Court has never been more unpopular. The public has kind of had it with this Court. And that’s kind of the Court’s fault. The Chief Justice is going on like, “People are just mad about our decisions, but our decisions aren’t political.”
But they look political, right? The fact that you got to overturn Roe v. Wade only after you got a 6-3 conservative supermajority. The fact that you rolled back affirmative action only after you got a 6-3 conservative supermajority. The fact that you are literally looking at Section 1 of the 14th Amendment, which is very straightforward, and asking, “Hmm, I wonder if the children of undocumented persons who were born in the United States are citizens.”
Like, the people get it. They’re not dumb. We are not stupid. We know what this looks like. And they’re mad. They’re really, really mad.
Anything we do at the legislative level ultimately goes back to this Court. So none of it matters if you’re not also talking about court reform.
250 years ago today, Jefferson finished his first draft of the Declaration of Independence. The document went through many changes before it was signed on July 4th, but those changes were key to uniting 13 separate colonies together around shared ideas: equality, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Those words stayed from Jefferson's original draft.
A lot has changed since then to keep our country together. We've lived through a Civil War and periods of serious unrest. Today feels like one of those moments where the ties that hold us together are being tested. But through every struggle, our core values have held.
Equality. Liberty. Pursuit of Happiness. These are the ideas that connect us and define what it means to be American. It's in our nature to always keep changing and to form a more perfect union, but the values that our union is formed on will never change.
Let me tell you what just got reported, because you will not believe it until you see it laid out.
The Trump administration cut a billion-dollar tungsten deal with Kazakhstan. Tungsten is the metal we need for missile warheads, fighter jets, and computer chips. Trump himself got on the phone to close it. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick worked it from the inside, sending letters, leaning on the Kazakh president, lining up as much as $1.6 billion in federal financing.
Within weeks of those negotiations, investors tied to a firm partly owned by Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump took a 20% stake in an entity connected to the very same Kazakhstan project their father was negotiating. Around that same time, Cantor Fitzgerald, the firm run by Lutnick’s own sons, raised $210 million for a partner in the deal and pocketed the fees.
The fathers set the policy. The sons cashed in.
Six days after the Trump sons and their partners moved their money, Lutnick signed the final deal.
The reporting found one or both families have financial ties to at least 14 companies working with the government on critical mining deals.
The total federal funding flowing toward those companies tops $8.9 billion.
This is your tax money.
It is supposed to secure our supply chains and protect our troops, not pad the portfolios of the President’s children and the Commerce Secretary’s children.
This is the most corrupt administration in American history. It is not close.
We must keep digging, and keep asking the questions they do not want asked. Republicans in Congress are unwilling to lift a finger. Mike Johnson is running a protection racket.
Either we will end the corruption, or the corruption will be the end of us.

🚨POWERFUL: Jon Ossoff accused Donald Trump of targeting Georgia because “Black voters were instrumental to his defeat” as he pushes election-denier Mike Collins.
Then he reminded the crowd what Georgia made possible: “You sent to the Senate the young Jewish son of an immigrant… and a Black pastor who holds Dr. King’s pulpit.”
A powerful reminder that Georgia’s diverse coalition changed history. Let’s do it again!
Less than 24 hours after RFK Jr. became health secretary, his press secretary delivered an order from him to the CDC: Take down your ad campaign promoting flu vaccines.
That same day, the CDC reported that influenza-related ailments that season had killed 68 children — 11 that week alone — and 16,000 people overall. https://t.co/u4BT4NZGOt
BREAKING: Trump's Education Secretary Linda McMahon hit with HISTORIC first-ever impeachment for illegally dismantling the department she runs Linda McMahon — the former pro-wrestling executive Trump installed to run the Department of Education — is now facing the first impeachment of an Education Secretary in American history. And the reason is simple: she's accused of breaking federal law to destroy her own department.
Oregon Democrat Suzanne Bonamici introduced articles of impeachment Thursday, accusing McMahon of "illegally transferring the operations of 6 offices under the Department of Education to other Federal agencies."
Here's the core of it. The Department of Education was created by Congress in 1980. By law, only CONGRESS can shut it down. But McMahon — carrying out Trump's campaign promise to dismantle it — has been gutting the department piece by piece anyway, using backdoor "interagency agreements" to shove its programs over to Health and Human Services and the Labor Department.
The problem? Many of those programs are LEGALLY REQUIRED to stay within the Education Department. McMahon doesn't have the authority to move them. She's doing it anyway.
"McMahon has made it her mission to close down the Department of Education, something she does not have the right to do," Bonamici said on the House floor. And she made clear exactly who gets hurt: "Educators and parents, especially parents of students with DISABILITIES, are distraught and asking us to take action to stop these illegal transfers."
That's the cruelty at the heart of this. The Education Department administers critical protections and funding for students with disabilities — kids who depend on federal oversight to get the education they're legally entitled to. McMahon is throwing that into chaos.
McMahon's response was pure deflection, whining on X that Democrats think "an impeachable offense is working to improve student outcomes" before pivoting to her favorite culture-war obsession — attacking trans students, a focus of hers since day one.
The impeachment is unlikely to succeed in the GOP-controlled House. But it draws a crucial line: a Cabinet official cannot simply IGNORE the law and unilaterally dismantle a department Congress created.
A wrestling executive shouldn't get to bulldoze public education.

Ossoff: "Citizens United was the most destructive court decision in modern American history. It's unleashed a flood of secret money, corporate money, billionaire money on both sides. Donald Trump's rise is a symptom of this deeper disease. Our task is not just to contain his wickedness, but to cure the rot that gave rise to it."
@covie_93 Son: “Mom why are you and dad mad in this picture, you just got married, shouldn’t you be smiling?”
Mom - “we were maga patriots, son, never smiled, huntin’ dumocraps was our duty to king trump. Remember son to put some money in each of our commissaries.”
@NewsHour America’s democracy is under siege by a well-funded alliance of Christian Nationalists and corporate elites. It is a “deliberate, long-term strategy designed to reshape the country into a rigid theocracy where billionaires hoard power”
