@abhishekrajaram @IncomeTaxIndia Thereafter, AO sent letter to the AO where wrong PAN jurisdiction was lying. After confirming from there, they granted credit to the assessee.

But yes, there was numerous visits to Inncome Tax Department.

@abhishekrajaram @IncomeTaxIndia Sir, a similar mistake was done by our client ( a wrong alphabet was different). The wrong PAN was pertains to someone in South India.

We filed a rectification to assessee’s jurisdiction in Delhi. Produced all supporting that confirmed that amount was paid by assessee only.
