Does your nose feel like it's going to explode? You're not alone, and that's okay. First and foremost, if it's prolonged, you should go see a doctor, but the pollen levels here in late-spring are through the roof right now. In fact, Michigan is currently in the list of top 3 states with highest pollen levels today, May 22nd, 2026.
Some rain will "help" keep things less-airborne on Saturday, but generally speaking, we remain in peak season for tree pollen as the leaves continue to pop on all of our trees. Oak, mulberry, and birch are the top pollinators right now. Our "I'm suffering from pollen allergies" index averaged over the next three days reads 8.8 out of 10, with a 10 being the highest level of suffering. Data is based out of the I-96 corridor, but readings are fairly similar statewide.
Also of note for Notre Dame fans: The Irish will not play a Peacock-exclusive game in 2026.
Each home game, including the Shamrock Series matchup, will be broadcast on NBC and streamed on Peacock.

Jeremiyah Love was asked how life changing it is to be guaranteed the most amount of money in RB history.
"That amount of money would change anyone's life. But it's real life changing for my parents. I'm not going to touch it. I still haven't done anything at the end of the day, I'm ready to earn it.
Always putting others before himself.

Your daily conditions for May 8th, 2026. Welcome to Friday!
Our map is a bright yellow today as temperatures get closer to average. High temperatures across the Lower Peninsula and extreme southwestern Upper Peninsula will be in the low 60s, while the rest of the Upper Peninsula and some of the Lower Peninsula makes it into the mid-50s. The chances of rain have decreased for today. The system projected to move through today will primarily stay SOUTH of Michigan altogether. A few sprinkles may appear, but no big washout. Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies will be the majority condition today. Wind gusts today will be out of the west at 10-15 mph, occasionally gusting to 20 mph.
P.S. We've hidden a burrito in today's map.🌯 It's an easy find, but let us know when you see it. No, this does NOT mean we expect cloudy with a chance of meatballs. We just want to start your day off right with a little fun. Have a fun day! We will talk soon on forecasts for your Saturday and Sunday. You've probably seen by now that Christina Koch was an actress before being an astronaut on NASA's Artemis II...but did you know Victor Glover is ALSO an actor?
Isn't it a bit weird that all of the Artemis II astronauts are former actors plucked straight from central casting? 🤔

🔥🚨BREAKING: It is being claimed on X that In 2009, Tim Tebow proved the existence of God, a post that is trending reveals the statistically impossible consistency with a bible verse and the former football player.
Trad West: ‘Tim Tebow wrote John 3:16” under his eyes during the National Championship Game. 94 million people searched the verse that night.
Exactly three years later to the day, Tebow played his first NFL playoff game against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
He threw for 316 yards. His yards per completion were 31.6. The TV rating peaked at 31.6. The opponent’s time of possession was 31:06. The only interception in the game was thrown on 3rd and 16. The game was played exactly 316 weeks after Tebow declared he would play college football for the University of Florida.
Six different statistics. All pointing to the same verse. On the same date. Three years apart.
Nobody planned this. Nobody could have.’
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16
