Oxford is now emerging as a UK centre of resistance against draconian schemes (also coming to cities) that would force residents and visitors to obtain council permission / permits to drive along the city's main roads. Hundreds have turned out to start the fightback.
@AnnelieseDodds@emily4MK @chriscurtis94 Visiting small businesses on a high street that cars can park on all while small businesses and communities in your constituency in Oxford are being ruined by the anti car policy that is destroying our city and putting a lot of working class peoples livelihoods at serious risk!
@PedalandPost@BadlyParkedOx I’m constantly stopped in my tracks by your P&P bikes that get thoughtlessly dumped everywhere, including the cycle lanes along iffley road forcing cyclists onto the already limited space allocated for cars and busses as well as the middle of smaller roads so no one can pass!
@HolyBollards Funny…I feel the same about people who move to a city and start campaigning to block up loads of the roads. Why move to a city if you don’t like it? 🙄
@OxfordBusCo my autistic (exempt) daughter has also been victim of hate crime on your buses and has even been refused entry or drivers haven’t even opened the doors for her at stops when they’ve seen she’s not wearing a mask, but they haven’t bothered to enquire if she’s exempt
@OxfordBusCo my 72 yr old mum was just a victim of hate crime on one of your buses for not wearing a mask (she’s exempt) a passenger hurled abuse and tried to recruit others to join in. Notices around buses reminding passengers some people don’t wear masks could prevent this?
