When did my notifications tab become the new Twitter stream? Was my 3 like notifications a week too pathetic? Someone felt the need to fill it with random other peoples tweets.

Paying for the Freedom Dividend is much easier than many think. It would not cause much inflation, would be good for business, and help millions of Americans towards better opportunities in life. Good companies invest in their people. It is time we do the same.
Pretty sure that I don't agree at all with this but good to read. I think that this argument is all about cost and not about benefit. Will it be more work to take every Java release? Probably. But you can get new language features. And keep devs happy or recruit new ones.
If you use the Red Line in Cambridge on weekends, you’ve probably noticed we’ve been running shuttle buses. This is part of planned work to renew the concrete track bed and keep trains running safely. Here’s a bit more about the work and why it’s important.
Fun fact #1 about Postgres: the standard query optimizer is based on algorithms developed by the IBM System R team in the 1970s. However, another optimizer based on a genetic algorithm kicks in at a large # of joins. This one (GEQO) finds access paths based on mutation.
Writing 20 pages of my book on Django ORM performance has brought me to a little over 1/4 of the planned contents, but 1/2 of the planned page count. 🤔It has also taken me into the C code for the Postgres query optimizer and 1970s research papers on access paths in IBM System R.
"I wonder what's in this 1.85GB MacOS update?" Yeah, those links in the picture are neither clickable or copy and pastable. But I typed them each in and found this list of 3 security issues https://t.co/FKB6CxPghf. First off, poor user interface @Apple. 2nd, 1.85 GB for 3 patches
@stevemallen I don't know but I feel for you. On my old phone I struggled with the volume warning that would damage my hearing. Would be nice to actually be able to control my phone.
