I feel bad for @JayT23, lots of people getting big contracts right now is either performing badly or getting injured. Hope all goes well for you my guy, and hope you get the contract you deserve. Wanted to say also don't let your agent control anything, do what you think is best.
@Poopcrates@Gestrid_@jasonschreier I meant games that have already been created and released shouldn't be subject to a new charge at all, regardless of whether unity goes ahead. Imagine you buy a car, and 3 years after you bought it the manufacturer says "Oh by the way, you pay 5c per mile now". How is that fair
@jasonschreier I think people are missing the point here that this is STILL for ALL games ever released on @unity, if they want to have this model GOING FORWARD, that is something devs can account for, but to apply this to games already released under those TOS's without this fee is insane.
@Poopcrates@Gestrid_@jasonschreier That works all well and good if you are creating your game now and knowing this will be paid going forward, but to change the rules of the game for all games ever released is an absolute failure, this is a sudden expense that already released games now have to account for.
@TheRealGothJawa @unity Even if they did a revenue share, it shouldn't apply to games already launched or about to launch. It is just absurd to change the rules of the game for already existing content.
@RedHillsRancher@keithernet@unity Imagine using Adobe Premier to edit your video so you can post it on youtube. Now once you hit a certain amount of ad revenue you got charged for every view whether they watched an ad or not, so you are getting charged regardless if you make any money on that view.
@unity How do you think this is acceptable for all legacy games already created or released before this was even thought of? This was NEVER in their terms when the game was created and is a sudden and new expense. Uncreated games have a choice going forward, you're extorting the rest.
@StoneGolemStud@unity How is this acceptable for studious who have released their game years ago? I don't understand how you can side with this. For future games not created yet, it's a decision you can make, existing games were created when this wasn't in their contracts and is a sudden expense.
@unity#Unity#UnityEngine Will developers need to pay for internal QA builds? It's very common to make build after build after build... Because if so that is wild to charge people to make games.
@NFL@AaronRodgers12@nyjets Another one taken too soon by the crap turf at Metlife, why pay these guys millions only for them to play in the injury dome
It happened to me personally. It's just weird because it's a massive story and no one within any sort of sports media is talking about it. You are my only hope.
@MoistCr1TiKaL I know you won't see this but you should cover DAZN's aquasition of NFL gamepass, it completely ruined the international experience and there is overwhelming evidence of them charging people for things they did not want and not getting refunds. PT 2..
@SNFonNBC@peacock@NBCSports Why try to expand your international audience if you lock content behind a service that you literally can't even get in most countries. Thanks NFL.
@AdamSchefter - NFL "We want to expand our international audience". - Also the NFL "We are going to lock games behind a paid subscription you literally can't get in most countries even if you wanted too".
@tylertech: "We understand that the Great Walks are a popular experience for many people, and we apologise for the inconvenience. β―We are working closely with our partner to ensure smooth bookings in the future."
TylerTech the following week: "Oh more bookings? Hold my beer"
@brentmfmayfield Under 2 minutes in playoff games, any judgement call penalties (not things like false starts or helmet to helmet etc) needs to be reviewable, because I hate when judgement calls solidify the outcome of a game. #nflrefs#NFL#SuperBowl
I wish @NFL teams who didn't make the playoffs had one of their own, and that determined the draft pick order, I am so sick of the annual tank bowl around this time of year, and teams just throwing the rest of the season away because it's better if they do, bad system. #NFL
