You have totally missed the point. Parables were already a known Jewish teaching form (used by prophets and later by rabbis). They absolutely were NOT intended just for the uneducated. Jesus employed them masterfully with the crowds of people who followed him while also using them in confrontations with religious leaders. The form allowed him to teach publicly without always speaking in the direct, confrontational style that would have immediately escalated conflict, yet still delivered pointed truth. Jesus used parables because they were the perfect vehicle for the message of the kingdom: they engaged the imagination, rewarded those who sought understanding, exposed hardness of heart, fulfilled Scripture, and made eternal realities concrete in the language of everyday life. Kind of like songs...
@bearmom33@TheMuppetPastor@Protestia Jesus regularly used idioms, proverbs, hyperbole, metaphors, and everyday cultural references familiar to first-century Jewish audiences in Galilee and Judea to illustrate spiritual and kingdom truths.
I always find myself agreeing with your takes. Its about the balance. Like using movie clips to illustrate a Biblical truth. As long as The Truth is preached respectfully and in the secular is used in a way that helps exemplifie The Truth, I am ok with it. Maybe just not all the time...
The raw reality is that traditional fiat crime dwarfs crypto by orders of magnitude - trillions upon trillions in illegitimate flows versus crypto's.
The overwhelming majority of global financial crime still happens in the traditional system, not on the blockchain. Claiming crypto is uniquely or predominantly "fraud" ignores the sheer scale of fiat, where vastly more dirty money moves every day through banks, wires, and cash. The data shows crypto is a rounding error in absolute criminal dollars compared to the legacy financial system.
Anyone arguing otherwise is being disingenuous.

When you move a chat into a Project it still appears in main History. Deleting it from History also removes it from the Project β super easy to accidentally lose important long-running threads.
Please add a simple LOCK toggle to protect specific chats from deletion (in both History and Projects).
This would make Projects much safer for serious work. Thanks!

"May 29, 2026
To my fellow Americans, my fans, and everyone who loves this country as deeply as I do:
After deep reflection, prayer, and listening to the voices of the American people, I have made a decision: I am rejoining the America 250 celebration.
I will not bow to political pressure. I will not let division or noise pull me away from what matters most β honoring the 250th birthday of the greatest nation on earth and celebrating the people who make it extraordinary.
When I first stepped back, it was because I wanted this moment to be about unity, not politics. But the outpouring of love, the messages from everyday Americans β farmers in Kansas, families in small towns, veterans, teachers, first responders, and music lovers from every corner of this land β reminded me why I fell in love with this country in the first place.
America is not perfect, but she is ours. She is the land that gave a little girl from Sharon, Kansas the chance to dream big, work hard, and stand on stages across the world singing songs that connect hearts. She is the home of second chances, quiet courage, and the belief that tomorrow can be better than today.
My change of heart is simple: I choose love of country over fear of controversy. I choose celebration over cancellation. I choose to stand with the American people β red, white, blue, and every beautiful shade in between β because this moment belongs to us.
I am proud to once again be part of America 250. I will show up with an open heart, a grateful spirit, and a voice ready to sing for the country I love.
Letβs celebrate 250 years of freedom, resilience, and the unbreakable American spirit β together.
God bless America. And God bless every one of you who calls her home.
With love and gratitude,
Martina McBride"
