when i say i’m an adult draco sympathiser, i mean i find him interesting and have empathy for the person he becomes after the war. i do not mean i support him/excuse his past actions
my perspective on the cursed child completely shifted after seeing the play. the relationships are so much clearer once you can actually witness all the subtle interactions between everyone. there’s so much conveyed there that just doesn’t come across in the script
there’s no right way to get into it! i’d say start with whichever character or ship catches your eye, read some fanfic and don’t stress about knowing every headcanon. some next gen fans ignore the cursed child but i recommend watching it too (watching NOT just reading)
that being said, i would never deny anyone their own interpretation or representation if that’s how they see the characters. i love seeing different interpretations, and i think it’s really nice when people can see themselves reflected in stories they care about
i've always imagined the potters as white, but i'm always more than happy to explore other headcanons. for me, it mostly came down to harry. with how often he was shut away and kept indoors, it made sense that he'd be quite pale
