@ShieldFan12 Honestly Supergirl was probably my favourite character, and I'd rate it a solid 4 out of 5. Not quite as good as superman (which is a high bar anyway) but still really good. I like how they had more focus on the characters rather than just the action like some superhero films
@Drako1909 Yeah for sure, my mom liked black widow when I took her. When I told her my opinion on Supergirl she was immediately like, oh the type of films we like then? Like black widow. So I reckon if my mom knew about the pacing in advance she'd have come too. I hope they keep with this-
@Drako1909 Agreed! I liked eternals, but ik a lot of people who didn't. I think the problem is now lots of people who enjoy the slower films no longer go to superhero movies because they've always been "crashy bangy fighty" (in the words of my mom haha, which is why she didn't come today)
Left my house in the heatwave for this film, and don't regret it! Such a good movie, idc what people say lmao. I'm so excited for this new DC era it's been so good so far #supergirl
@Drako1909 I also think people aren't used to slower superhero movies, a lot of them (especially more recent marvel ones tbh) are so fast paced so I think the pacing for most people is just because it's more normal film rather than action superhero maybe?
@Drako1909 I avoided reviews/spoilers as much as possible so I haven't seen much of other people's reactions, but I think it was a great film! Superman was an insanely high bar to live up to and I wasn't expecting it to be as good as it either way. Im so excited for this new DC era tho
@Drako1909 Yeah haha. I definitely need to read up more Supergirl comics, but I felt like they kept her vibe so well and made a great film adaptation. Plus the sets were cool. Also the pacing of the film felt great, some superhero movies move way to quickly, but this felt long in a good way
