A patient-specific, indication-based prescribing tool cut medication errors by 78% in simulation, in a study by @calandrafeather, @BryonyDF & colleagues.

Prescribers also worked faster and reported lower mental workload & frustration vs standard practice.

Fantastic to chair the first steering group meeting for the Palliate study based @helixcentre. An excellent demonstration of the value of bringing researchers, clinicians and patients/carers together to oversee a much needed study on carer administered medication at end-of-life.

Exactly these kinds of examples @ali_cotton where the inclusion of indication as standard on medication orders can have a real impact. Even better if we can use tools to support prescribers without adding to their workload.
