2. Despite @theJagmeetSingh being leader of the #NDP since 2017 , the Conservatives still can't seem to pronounce his name correctly in ads. Why is that?

@theJagmeetSingh all I have to say about this attack ad I received in the mail is that they could have picked a better colour for the outline and text boxes. The yellow blends in with your turban, so it doesn’t stand out as much. Poor graphic design choice IMO. 😂

Does he know that ‘Hindu’ is not synonymous with ‘brown’? He said “Hindu garb” as if he could differentiate between the diverse range of clothing styles worn by people from SEA countries. Somehow ATX’s 2% Indian population, who are not all Hindu, outnumber white people? 🤔

@ZachWLambert I’ve been an active member of a church for all of my adult life while also being a queer person. The difference between me and some of these folks in the comments is that I’m willing to love my neighbour even when they’re different than me.

Agreed that physicians, pharmacists and other HCPs should be appropriately compensated for admin work, but this is wild. ++ problematic for people on fixed incomes, those who lack transportation/have mobility issues who can’t easily make MD visits, busy parents, etc.

@annwmac @PharmacistMama They should be paid for their time, absolutely, but why should it come directly out of the patient’s pocket? I’m a medically stable adult who doesn’t often have opportunity to see my GP because of my work and school schedule, so I now need to pay $25 per script refill?

@Dpete9Peterson @AndrewLSeidel The swastika is an ancient religious/cultural symbol of prosperity in many Asian traditions, but was co-opted by the Nazis in the 20th century. If you see people flying flags with a swastika on them in 2024, we don’t look to its origin. What does the🌲flag mean TODAY?
