One of the biggest obstacles to success is your negative thoughts about yourself. When we treat students like they're A+ students their grades improve. So do the same for yourself. Know you can do well at Calculus.

@tearskr Use implicit differentiation. Let's do the ladder problem. x^2+y^2=(13m)^2. By implicit differentiation we have 2xdx/dt+2ydy/dt=0 => (via algebra) => dx/dt = -(y/x)dy/dt. y=sqrt{(13m)^2-x^2} where x = 5m. You should get dx/dt=-(12/5)(0.1m/s)=0.24m/s. Do you agree?
